   Ancien possesseur d’un 3900x, je me suis tourné vers ce processeur pour ses performances nettement supérieurs en single-core; et autant dire que je ne suis pas déçu !Le processeur s’overclock très bien, à des voltages raisonnables (4.5ghz à 1.25v, ou 4.6ghz à 1.3v), et offrent des performances assez incroyables (+15% en multi core sur Cinebench R20, +30% en single core sur Cinebench R20).Il est cependant à noté qu’il chauffe enormément.J’ai un watercooling personnalisé, avec un waterblock de chez EK, et 2 radiateurs de 360mm. Et bien autant dire qu’il s’en fout royalement : à 4.5ghz / 1.25v, le processeur monte à 75°C sur cinebench, ce qui est totalement raisonnable; mais il monte à 85°C voir 90°C à 4.6ghz / 1.3v, ce qui contraste totalement avec mon ancien 3900x, sur lequel je pouvais appliquer ce genre de voltage sans problème, et rester en dessous de 80°C sur cinebench.Le precision boost overdrive est aussi impressionant, avec des boost prolongé montant à 4.7ghz sur 2 à 4 coeurs, et des boosts plus brefs sur 1 coeurs, pouvant monter à 5ghz !En résumé, c’est un excellent processeur pour de la production musicale (mon utilisation principale), tout en restant le meilleur processeur du marché pour du gaming (ce qui n’était pas le cas pour le 3900x).

   For home PC in addition to my laptop. Backup of phone SD card media files and surfing the net. CD library conversion to lossless. Installed in Gigabyte B550 Aorus Elite AX V2. Important to press on CPU firmly with finger while lowering lever. The backplate where existing mounting adapter comes off when removing if you are using the included fan so make sure to realign backplate then support from back motherboard and screw in the fan. A little bit of effort with the spring loaded screws but goes in alright. Satisfied with it.

   Going from a 5600x to the 5950x is noticeable and awesome is just about every way. But the true powerhouse does not really shine until you are doing intensive tasks.Encoding video (x264/x265) is so damn fast and running multiple VMs all butter smooth while having a host system that is also super fast. The power draw for this chip is also surprisingly moderate, with a full load i have never seen this draw more then 120w, so even with my power hungry 6900xt and several HDDs, my system can still work fine with a 850w PSU. It can get a little warm, so a GOOD air cooler or a AIO liquid is recommended, my 360 AIO keeps this bad boy under 70c at full load with ang temps in the 40’s.

   The AMD Ryzen 9 is an absolute beast of a processor, 12 cores, 24 threads and too many things to offer. If you’re looking for the best processor nowadays no need to look further.
